As with all social media accounts, there are options to freeze and delete the account on Facebook<\/a>. We have shared how to freeze an Instagram account in detail in our previous articles. Now, we have gathered all the information that can help those who want to close their facebook account or freeze it for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to freeze Facebook account?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can freeze your account for a period of time, and then reopen it at any time. You can follow these steps to freeze your Facebook account;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First, log in to your facebook account<\/a>, click on the little down arrow symbol at the top right of the homepage. Select settings from the tabs that open after clicking the arrow.<\/li>
  2. When you come to the settings page, there is the general option in the first row in the left column. Click it<\/li>
  3. On the screen that opens, select the option to manage account. Here it says change account successor settings or freeze account. Click on Edit.<\/li>
  4. You can do many things on this screen. In case something happens to you, you can make the account successor arrangement, which can close or manage the account for you, on this screen. You can also remove the data archive permission from this page. The option at the bottom of the page is the freeze account option. Click this option.<\/li>
  5. Thus, your facebook account will be frozen until you open it again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    What happens when my Facebook account is frozen?<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    No one can see your Facebook profile but you. When a search is made with your name, your profile is not included in the search results.  Freezing your facebook account does not mean freezing the facebook messenger app. You can continue to use the messaging application after you have frozen your Facebook account. Messages you previously sent to your friends will still appear in their message boxes. Even if your profile is not opened, some information can be seen by your friends. People you’re friends with can still have your name on their friend list. But only your friends can see your name on their list, no one else can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Facebook<\/strong><\/a> messenger works like a different mobile application. For this reason, people can search, find and message you on Facebook Messenger. If you do not want to be reached from Messenger, you can also freeze your account there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to Freeze Facebook Messenger Account Step by Step;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Enter the app to freeze the messenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After entering the application, click on your profile picture in the upper left corner. Click on this, click on the privacy and conditions on the screen that will open, and then click on the freeze Messenger option in the options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After saying freeze, the application will ask you to enter a password to make sure that you do this. After entering your password and saying ok, your messenger account will also be frozen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can reopen your Facebook account and messenger account at any time. Just keep in mind that you need access to your phone number and email address to unlock these accounts. When you decide to reopen your account, verification codes will come to one or both of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
