Social media giant Facebook has announced that it is testing a new feature on one of its platforms, Instagram. In the new Reels feature of Instagram, the company will start testing the ads that users already know on the platform, and will also test new features.
With this feature, which has started to be tested with users in India, Brazil, Germany and Australia, users will be able to encounter advertising videos up to 30 seconds while browsing the Reels tab. Reels ads will look like Instagram Stories ads, and users can skip videos that can be broadcast for up to 30 seconds, as in the Stories section. According to some information shared by Instagram, “shop now” buttons can be added for users who want to reach the product in advertisements.
At the same time, according to the explanations made on the subject, users will be able to comment, like and even save and share these advertisements on their own accounts whenever they want.
Although the company has not yet announced when the new advertising features will be available worldwide, it is estimated that this feature will be used by everyone in the near future.
